Alternative Ways to Use Tea

Oftentimes when you think of tea, you think of it as the beverage. Hot or cold, with milk and sugar or not – it’s something you drink. There are also multiple ways tea can be used, whether in health, cooking, or cleaning. 

Alternative ways to use tea

Here are some alternative ways to use tea:

 Removing Toilet Stains –  If you drop a used tea bag or twointo the toilet bowl, let them soak a few hours and flush you can loosen those toilet stains. After this stains should come right off with a good sweep of the bowl brush.

 Cooling  razor burn – If you pat a wet tea bag on your face or legs next time you find yourself with a painful case of razor burn after shaving, you can heal and soothe the affected area. 

Taking Care of your mouth- If a child loses a tooth, a wet teabag can be placed on the gum to reduce bleeding and soothe pain. Also, strongly brewed peppermint tea can be used as a mouthwash.

Helping with Stinky Feet – Soaking your feet in a strong brew of black tea each day for about 20 minutes can help reduce the stench of stinky feet. And, some home remedies claim that pressing a warm, wet teabag to a plantar wart for 20 minutes each day will help heal it more quickly.

Tenderizing Meat –  Marinating meat in a strong brew of black tea will make it more tender.

Grilling – Tea leaves can be used on the grill or in the smoker to infuse flavor to meats and cheeses.

Repel mosquitoes –  If you Burn tea leaves instead of chemicals can repel Mosquitoes. 

Some of these alternative ways to use tea are definitely great to go out and try.  From helping you cook, to maintaining good health – all without drinking stuff, there’s a lot that can be done with a good cuppa.

    You can also paint with tea like a watercolor stain. 🙂 It may not be terribly useful, but it is pretty. And soothing.
