Sweet Tea Lemonade

Sitting at the beach or down by the pool, or even just a hot day walking in the city – the best two drinks are iced tea and lemonade. Refreshing black tea, sweet tart lemonade – often sweet tea is  even served with a slice of lemon.  So why not combine the two drinks and make a kind of sort of… super summer drink? that drink is black tea lemonade.

Black Tea Lemonade

This black tea lemonade recipe, via the vanilla bean blog, is a great fusion of the two recipes and a way to cool off in a sweet fashion. Here’s how to make it:

Black Tea Lemonade

8 cups of water

5 spoons  of a strong, black tea (I usually use Irish Breakfast)
1 12-ounce can of frozen lemonade concentrate

Boil 8 cups of water on the stove top. When you’ve reached a rolling boil, add the tea bags.

Let the tea  boil in the water for 3-5 minutes. Turn the burner off, and let the tea steep in the water for at least an hour. Then Strain.

Pour the frozen lemonade concentrate into the tea and mix well. You are ready to serve! If you need to drink it right away, add lots of ice to your glass to get it wonderfully cold. Otherwise, refrigerate and drink when needed.

And there you have it, another great tea summer beverage. Summer may be winding down but that doesn’t mean you have to stop sipping.
